The Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression.

Music: the jazz age was at its peak and many famous jazz musicians like Armstrong and Ellington.
Social issues: but it wasn't all good. The government in 1920s banned the production and the sale of alcohol.

New York, in 1920s

And so they were born.

Lifestyle: people spent their moneyon cars, telephones, and many other things.
Fashion: A young woman emerged during the 1920s, who was very different in her apparence. She was called flapper. She had bobbed hair and a short skirts.

Organise crime.

Actually ingreased trough the illegal sale and distriburion of alcohol. They were called "speakeasy" because people had to whisper a password to enter. Prohibition gave criminals a way to illegally make money. Gangsters, men who worked in criminal gangs, began selling alcohol on the black market.

The Great Depression.

During the roaring twenties, Wall Street, become one of the world's most important financial centres.
When it crash happened in 1929s the financial markets lost bilions of dollars.
And after this started The Great Depression.

During the depression a lot of people lost their jobs, by 1933. They don't have money and lost their home too. Children left the school and some school closed.

But in 1933 arrived Rooselvet...
