QUINTANAROO

Quintana Roo is a Mexican state on the Yucatan Peninsula. Its capital is Chetumal and it is divided into 11 municipalities, its most populous city is Cancun, it is also characterized by its nature reserve of the Nichupté lagoon and the long beaches with coral reefs. It is a set of clothing that represents the shield of Quintana Roo. And in the pocket of the sweatshirt that has the three triangles represent the forest wealth and are a symbol of the fertility of the state territory and The Mayan glyph of the wind represents the hurricanes that continually threaten the coasts. In the lower part, he wears flared pants and, like almost everything, it is because the shield is square with round corners, it represents Hunab Ku, god of movement and measurement for the Mayan culture, with a red quote and some embroidery on the lower part of the Mayan glyph of the marine snail symbolizes the interior of the earth and the sea; represents the ethnic origins of Quintana Roo and La estrella de la mañana, which means awakening, emergence, rebirth and is a symbol of a new ideal oriented towards higher goals.

Chiapas

The typical costume of Chiapas is a representation of everything that this beautiful state is: color, history and beauty. This southeastern Mexican destination preserves the cultural richness of the native peoples of the continent. Thanks to the fertility of the land, more than 14 different ethnic groups have been able to continue living according to their traditions and lifestyle. In addition to their traditions and the gastronomy of Chiapas, it is also through their clothing that many of these peoples communicate their history, experiences and beliefs. The differences in the materials used for the dress, as well as the intricacies of their ornamentation have created a great variety of colorful designs that cause admiration around the world. Due to this vastness, there is more than one typical costume of Chiapas, however, the one from Chiapa de Corzo is considered the representative of the state. The typical costume of Chiapas is called "chiapaneca". It consists of a tight-fitting blouse and a loose skirt that reaches the ankles. Both pieces are made using black satin in order to print fluidity to the design and provide a background on which the veils will stand out. In this project we set out to recreate this traditional dress, in a more modern garment for future generations. The dress consists of a black fabric short, with traditional embroidery, a black blouse with flowers, representing the colors of the original skirt.

Guerrero

The State of Guerrero is one of the Federative Entities of Mexico and is located in the south of the country. These costumes today are used for town festivals, in itself the essence of the towns has an identification For me it was important that I maintain that main style, along with the colors, but the main idea was to keep it, for example, the skirt has agricultural cycles, so to speak, it drags the earth to make the skirt and it takes nature, as well as the colors. with which they are embroidered, they are intense, alive. While the blouse is identified with nature itself, where the appearance of a story where the cloud is taken to cover the woman's body enters. That is why it is white and adorned with flowers at the height of the woman's chest. I focused on something current and something that any woman would wear in her day.

Nuevo León

Throughout the world, the belief is adopted that the traditional clothing of the state of Nuevo León, known as clothing, is related to "cowboy clothing." This is due to the fact that many garments are made with textile and animal fabrics that, when made, give the impression of being a suit with that theme. A ribbon with a giant bow is added to the back and footwear they usually wear white or black booties or shoes. As final details, women must collect their hair in a bun with two combs arranged on the sides and in their hand they must carry a fan to represent the elegance of the woman. Dress styles may vary depending on the town or municipality where the patron saint festivities are being celebrated. What is important to highlight is the fact that Mexicans seek every opportunity to exalt and feel proud of their roots.
