CHILDHOOD
CHILDHOOD
Marilyn Monroe,
was born on 1st June, 1926 at the Country Hospital in Los Angeles. Her childhood was not exactly beautiful in fact there were never any certain information of the identity of her father and her mother, Gladys Pearl Monroe, was mentally unstable and she wasn't financially able to take care of her daughter. When she was just seven, her mother was hospitalized after being diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic. As the years went, Marilyn Monroe had to move to a series of foster homes and at the age of sixteen she made the decision to get married.
LIFE
She married James Dougherty on 19th June, 1942. In 1943, when Dougherty enlisted in the Marines, the marriage ended. The vicissitudes of her childhood and the end of the marriage have made Norma Jean a woman with a strong character, but at the same time these experiences have led to increasing some sides of her character such as her insecurity.

Gladys was mentally unstable and financially unable to care for her daughter; failing to convince her mother Della to take care of the child, she decided to entrust Norma Jeane to Wayne and Ida Bolende, a couple who took care of foster children for money, with whom Norma Jeane lived until the age of seven. In her autobiography, Marilyn said that she was convinced they were her parents until Ida sharply corrected her, stating that she shouldn't call her "mother" and that she would meet the real one the next day

The song in question is the very sensual I Wanna Be Loved by You.In Gentlemen Prefer Blondes from 1953, among the many iconic scenes of that film there is also the musical interlude on the notes of Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend.
Marilyn Monroe began her career in show business as a model posing for the most important advertising agency in Hollywood, the Blu Book School of Charm and Modeling. . The young Norma Jeane Mortensonn signed her first film contract on August 24, 1946; it was then that she was advised by director Ben Lyon to change her name to Marilyn Monroe due to the sensual tone of her double "M".

ACTING
Marilyn exploded in 1953 with the hits, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and How to Marry a Millionaire. In that period she was courted by the most famous men of the moment and in 1954 she married the baseball champion Joe DiMaggio; a very short marriage as after a year they separated due to Monroe's "too much popularity". This and another series of love affairs gone wrong affected her work; and in the same period she also began to be the lover of President Kennedy and his brother Bob.

Marilyn Monroe was found dead on August 5, 1962, at the age of thirty-six, in the bedroom of her home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Even today, almost sixty years later, there is talk of suicide but there is no certain proof of what happened. It is said that her death could even have to do with the scandal of the relationship with the Kennedy brothers or that it was a settling of accounts with the mafia.
DEATH
...
Don't you know that a man being rich is like a girl being pretty? You would't marry a girl just because she's pretty, but my godness, doesn't it help?
