Customers start the online Dutchie Pay process at home

While submitting an online order, customers will see an option to use Dutchie Pay.

The first time they choose to use Dutchie Pay they'll follow the prompts on their screen to set-up their account and bank connection.

If selected, customers first log-in or create an account to use Dutchie Pay online.
Once they submit their order using Dutchie Pay, budtenders take over.

Paying In-Store

Walk through the steps of completing an in-store transaction with Dutchie Pay on the pages that follow. Each page introduces the next step.

Step 1: Select "Pay with Dutchie Pay"

When an in-store customer indicates they want to pay with Dutchie Pay, select the Dutchie Pay option from pay options listed on the checkout screen.

Step 2: Customer scans the Dutchie Pay QR code

After selecting Dutchie Pay at the register, ask the customer to scan the posted Dutchie Pay QR code with their phone.

The customer will then use their phone to log in to their Dutchie Pay account or—if this is their first time with Dutchie Pay—they will be prompted to create their account and link it to their bank.

Click "Continue" while the customer completes the steps on their phone.

Step 3: Scan the customer's phone to link their account

The first time a customer uses Dutchie Pay in-store at your location, you'll be prompted to link to their account.

Scan the barcode that appears on their phone with your register scanner to complete the link. . . Or use the manual code entry option linked at the bottom of the register and phone screens.

Step 4: Customer confirms their purchase on their phone

The customer's order will appear on their phone. Ask them to review their order and press "Confirm."

No actions are needed from the budtender for this step—you are waiting for the customer to confirm their purchase.

Step 5: Select "Complete order"

Once the customer has confirmed the order on their phone, you'll see the order confirmation appear at the register. . .

. . . then select "Complete order" to process the payment.

No actions are needed from the customer on this step, but they can see the payment being processed on their phone screen.

Step 6: Final Step—Select "Done"

Both your register and the customer's phone will show when the payment has been successful.

Don't forget to print the receipt! Then select "Done."

Customers only need to link their Dutchie Pay account to your location one time, so the next time they visit, their checkout process will skip the linking step and follow the flow described below.

Payment is processed

  • The budtender selects Dutchie Pay as the method of payment.
  • The customer scans the Dutchie Pay QR code and logs in to their account.
  • The budtender presses "Complete order" to process the payment.
  • The budtender prints the receipt and presses "Done" to finish the transaction.
  • The customer reviews the order and presses "Confirm" on their phone.
