• L'obiettivo principale di questo esperimento, sulla forza elastica è quello di misurare la relazione tra la forza esercitata su un materiale elastico e l'estensione del materiale prodotta dalla forza applicata.

La forza elastica è la forza che un materiale esercita quando viene deformata in seguito all'applicazione di una forza esterna. Questa forza è diretta in direzione opposta alla deformazione, ed è proporzionale alla quantità di deformazione stessa. Questa legge è nota come legge di Hooke, e afferma che la forza elastica F è uguale al prodotto della costante elastica k per la deformazione x: F = kx dove k rappresenta la costante elastica del materiale, che dipende dalle proprietà meccaniche del materiale stesso, e x rappresenta la quantità di deformazione subita dal materiale.
