You are a writer and you want to write a fairytale parody for the first time . After learning the codes of parody you will write and illustrate a parody of the fairytale of your choice.

Preterit and preterit continuous

Le prétérit simple exprime souvent une action courte ou série d'actions courtes. On l'utilise pour faire une narration.Il se traduit par le passé composé ou le passé simple. ex : Le prétérit continu décrit une action longue dans le passé ou des actions simultanées. L'action est en train de se faire, on l'utilise souvent pour la description. C'est comme le présent progressif, qui se traduit par “est en train de…”, mais au passé, c’est donc l’équivalent de “était en train de...”. Il se traduit par un imparfait. ex : Lorsque le prétérit simple et le prétérit continu sont employés dans une même phrase, le prétérit continu exprime une action longue éventuellement interrompue par une plus courte qui est exprimée au prétérit simple. ex :

Direct & indirect speech

Au discours indirect, l'énonciateur rapporte des paroles à l'aide d'une proposition subordonnée introduite par un verbe de parole.

On utilise le style indirect pour rapporter les paroles de quelqu'un sans faire de citation. Les guillemets disparaissent. En français, la subordonnée est introduite par "que" (obligatoire). En anglais, elle est introduite par "that" (facultatif) ou ( article zéro)
