Ayers Rock
- 500 millions years old.
- The most famous rock of Australia.
- 350 meters high and 3 kilometers long.
- most of the rock is underground.
- Spiritual heart for australian aborigenes for 30 000 years.
- Found in 1873 by William Goose.
- maintained since 1985 by the Anangu.
- nammed Ayers Rock for the first minister Henry Ayers.
- located in the north territory.
Our plan:
1) A tourist attraction 2 ) Environmental protection 3 ) A spiritual monument
1) A tourist attraction.
Ayres Rock is a tourist attraction :- 400 000 visitors a year.- Housing infrastructure near Ayers Rock45 000 $ for 2 persons , for a week-end.- A resort hotel is at 25 km (15 Miles) from Ayers rock. -> So around Ayers Rock their are a lot of hotels or resorts for tourist attraction. -There is a bar named by the same name (Ayers Rock).
2 ) Environmental protection
-since 1987 Uluru national park is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.-In July 2000, it came under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act.-Climbing prohibited since 2019.-It is requested to respect in some areas to not take photos and videos.
- The Anangu, an aborigene tribe, live there since 30000 years.- They have lot of sacred traditions and a rich culture and history.- the Tjukurpa is their life style and they considere themselves related to the traditional spirits of the Earth.-The anangu have the responsability to maintain the site since 1985.-> Uluru is an extremely sacred place
3 ) A spiritual monument
Conclusion :
-Ayers Rock is a big monument of australian history. -But it is threatened by tourism. -Since a few years decisions are taken to maintain the beauty of the place. -So Ayers Rock is not for tourists
