She was the first woman to earn a Ph.D. in physics from Cambridge University.

How has her work changed the world ?

Katharine Burr Blodgett is known in history for her work on the chemistry of surfaces and in particular for her invention of "invisible" or non-reflecting glass. It was used for projectors, cameras, underwater periscopes and aircraft cameras.
