Dear Sir Arthur Conan Doyle,I am writing to express my absolute admiration and gratitude for your work. Since the first day I read your stories about the incredible detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend, Dr. Watson, I have felt immersed and deeply engaged in them. You have an extraordinary ability to maintain suspense until the very last page. However, all the information needed to solve the mystery is cleverly provided beforehand. Although everything is right in front of us, we fail to see it. One thing I want to congratulate you on is your imagination and creativity. Not only have you written numerous stories, but I have not come across a single one that I didn’t enjoy.I would also like to thank you for the lessons you have taught me through your characters. They have inspired me to observe my surroundings more carefully, appreciate the importance of self-reflection, and avoid judging others based on appearances.I consider you a brilliant author, and I am convinced that your legacy will last many years.Yours faithfully, Blanca

Elsie → She is a concerned and terrified woman, as well as mysterious. She won't talk about her past and neither will she explain what doesn't let her sleep. However, she loves her husband and doesn't want him to suffer any danger.

Dr Watson → He is a curious man who admires his friend, Homes. He looks up to him and ties to be helpful, although he usually is not crucial to solve the case. Watson is an excellent writer too, and he narrates every adventure his friend and him experience.

Sherlock Homes → He is a mysterious and observant man, who thinks silently and doesn't come up with any idea before analizing everything around. He is patient, calmed and incredibly clever.

The story I have chosen is one of the many that feature Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes is a brilliant detective who always solves the case, no matter how difficult it seems. He is always accompanied by Dr. Watson, a former military doctor who now narrates Holmes’s adventures. In this particular story, Holmes is hired by Hilton Cubitt, a man concerned about his wife’s unusual behavior. He has discovered strange drawings in their house that resemble dancing men. When he showed these drawings to his wife, Elsie, she turned pale and became terrified, though she refused to explain why. Now, Holmes must uncover the secret behind Elsie’s fear, decipher the meaning of the mysterious drawings, and, most importantly, identify the person responsible for them. Will Holmes be able to solve the mystery in time to prevent a tragedy?

I really enjoyed the project, as Doyle is one of my favourite authors, and I hadn't read this story before. At some moments I found it a bit challenging to follow, as the vocabulary was complex, and some words are hardly ever used currently, however, I understood the story perfectly. I learnt how to analyse a story, and specially the characters in it. I also liked writing the review, as I couldn't spoil the end, but I had to explain it accurately.
