Captain James Cook a British navigator, cartographer and explorer sailed along and mapped the east coast, which he named "New South Wales" and claimed for Great Britain.

Nobody wanted to live in Australia

Why ?

Because it was too hot, too far away, too dangerous and too wild

So ?

So the king decided that the convict would go to Australia.But when they ended their sentence, they didn't go back to Great Britain because the trip was too expensive so they settled down in Australia. This is how Australia was populated

  • They are dark-skinned, they lived in Australia for 50 000 years cut off from the rest of the world.
  • They mainly speak their own language but some know English.
  • They have no territory because the have no sens of property.
  • They worship Nature

  • Red – representing the red earth of Australia
