Google Expeditions
- Google expeditions allow students to explore all over the world.
- Students will use Google Expeditions to explose all types of ecosystems.
- Students will be groups of 3 and using the VR and exploring each type of ecosystem.
Activites
- After exploring each type of ecosystem, students will work with the same group they were in the VR and choose a biome.
- They will draw the animals that live in that ecosystem.
- As a whole class, we will discuss all the kinds of biomes and the differences of each ones.
Assessment
- Students will create a 3D ecosystem of their own.
- Students can work in pairs or by themselves.
- Students will present their ecosystem of their choice and description of it.
Conclusion
This lesson is about the different types of ecosystems and including the Google expedition. The 5th graders will also have a project included with it. Virtually Reality helps student learning, because it lets students be right there, instead of describing or teaching it to them.
