Instruction needs to ensure that learners develop both a rich repertoire of formulaic expressions and a rule-based competence.
When a teacher introduces a new topic, it’s important that during class development he teaches about how they must express themselves correctly according to formal rules. Example: Explain the difference between formal and informal expressions and their use.

Instruction needs to ensure that learners focus predominantly on the meaning.
This means the student must understand how and when He must use the words. For example, the learners need to identify the context when they must use the word.

To learn a new language It’s important to ensure that our learners can understand language structure because They need to learn this to create a new expression.
Example: If a student wants to write a long text, he needs to know about structures to create his text.

As teachers, we must instruct students about technical words that they can need in their careers.
Example: you are a medicine student, and you need to manage medical words.

Non-authentic materials are appropriate for the students because This is most easy to understand. Examples: Books, crosswords, picture stories, role-play cards, and games.
Authentic materials are genuine materials, which means, they are used by native speakers in their daily life, and This is not used for teaching purposes. Example: Listening: TV Shows or commercials, Cartoons, fims, series, etc. Visual: Street signs, draws, slides. Printed: Lyrics, menus, maps, brochures, catalogs, etc
To ensure effective learning, it is important that our students can be interacting with a second language.
Example: To create a class where the students must speak among themselves in a second language.
Advantages and disadvantages
Non-Authentic
Authentic
Advantages These materials contain simple vocabulary, so students can understand. Disadvantages Due to their structure is more simple, students cannot understand some words, so they must search for other alternatives to get more vocabulary.
Advantages Students can feel how the language they are learning is employed in the real life. Disadvantages Authentic materials contain complex words and language features, which means, It's complicated to understand.
Conclusions
As teachers, we must understand that it is important to use authentic and non-authentic materials in our classes, due to our learners needs many alternatives to get information.
