Environmental Issue - Global Warming
How is global warming impacting the desert?Global warming is the long time heating of Earth's surface and it is causing desertification. Desertification is where deserts are spreading across other regions, drying them out and killing off wildlife. It is causing droughts, which causes non-desert regions to dry out, and it causes deserts to dry out even further, making them more barren and devoid of life. Global warming is also causing plants to die off which leads to increased erosion, and this also can make desertification go faster. Therefore, global warming is a big cause of many regions, especially the desert, to become barren and lifeless.

Reflection Questions
What was something you learned from this project?
Something that I learned from this project is that desertification is caused by global warming, and it is causing the deserts to spread across non-desert regions. This is making them like deserts, meaning that they become dry, barren, and extreme. This also means that the inhabitants of those regions that cannot survive extreme temperatures will die and the regions will become lifeless. Desertification can be caused by many different factors including human use of water storage, and this is why we should be more mindful of the things we do to cause global warming.
What is something you want to improve on?
Something that I want to improve on is the solution to the environmental issue. There is not a lot of research on solutions to global warming in deserts, so I think that having a solution would be nice. It would add to the depth of knowledge presented in the project, and make the project seeem more professional because it is not just talking about the issue, it is solving it.
