HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. PATIENT'S POSITIONING
- the machine starts turning around the patient in order to scan the diseased part of his body
- positioning is possible thanks to lasers which show the correct position of the patient
2. MULTILEAF COLLIMATOR (MLC)
- The multileaf collimator is a device made of individual tungsten leaves which are able to move in the path of a X-ray beam in order to reproduce the 3D shape of the cancer
3. TC CONE BEAM
- prostate cancer
- the TC cone beam starts hitting perfectly the cancer without comproming other tissues or organs thanks to the multileaf collimator.
