1. Laura Nicolle Garavito Herrera
- Hi everyone, my name is Laura Nicolle Garavito Herrera. I am 21 years old. I was born and life in Bogota DC. In turn, I have completed 5 semesters of Agroforestry Engineering at the Open and Distance University-UNAD. Throughout my life I discovered different activities that I am passionate about, they have helped me grow and discover who I am and because I am here, I have learned that the most important thing is to do what makes you happy. I thank my parents for teaching me that I have many options in life, I have learned to swim, play basketball, play the violin, cook, I love learning new things especially if it is something that genuinely interests me and I learn it in a self-taught way. So far I am studying a career professionally, I discovered agroforestry engineering during 2020 and I love everything I learned, nature seems to me a wonderful teacher, there is always something new to discover.

- I want to achieve in the next five years are I will finish the subjects that form the Agroforestry Engineering program, and I will be graduating from the Agroforestry Engineering curriculum program of UNAD, I will be finding a job as an agroforestry engineer in Colombia or in another country if given the opportunity, I’ll be learning Portuguese and I’ll be traveling around Colombia. I would also like to carry out the reforestation project in the municipality of Pijiño del Carmen, Magdalena, where my mother was born, which is something that we have been planning together with your company, to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of the town who live from fishing, agriculture and livestock, I would like to teach them better ways to take advantage of the land so that their diet is not affected in times of continued or rain. In addition, I have not yet decided if for my work as an agroforestry engineer I dedicate myself to the public or private sector, I would like to advise small businesses or farm owners who want to implement agroforestry systems on their land. I also find it important to continue increasing my knowledge in the hobbies I have, such as playing the violin, learning about baking and continuing to practice sports for physical and mental health.

- For 10 years, I will start finishing my degree in agroforestry engineering and a master's degree in ecosystem restoration or renewable energy, I will also probably form a family where my children learn about the importance of caring for the environment, caring for living beings and I will teach them the importance of always learning new things that help them grow as people, I will have a farm that is worked with agroforestry system to show people that it is possible to live in balance with nature and taking advantage of everything it gives us. Surely it opens known already many countries doing volunteering or working in my career to help Colombia and other countries on the importance of caring for the environment and its importance and impact at a social, economic, etc.
