The administrators, teachers, and students shutdown or feel overwhelmed because of the threat of the school closing due to low test scores. We don't reach our goal of 10% of our students scoring proficient on the MCAP and Parcc assessment.
Morgan State, Coppin State, & Towson University have offered to have student teachers tutor and mentor our students who are facing academic deficits. They are using this to prepare them for their teaching careers in urban education.
Community engagement with parents and families with our school PTA. We have a connecting the dots after school program aimed at raising assessment scores.
2% of our students passed the MCAP & Parcc assessments. The majority of our students are not proficient in math and reading. We have many students who have severe academic deficits.
