Patagonia's origins

1957 : Patagonia founder Yves Chouinard starts creating climbing gear. 1965 : He partners with Tom Frost and opens his first store in California called Great Pacific Iron Works. 1972 : The store begins to develop outerwear.1973 : The brand officially takes the name Patagonia.

The clothes are made of recycled cotton and polyester. The brand favors natural and organic materials or second hand ones from old comforters and pillows. Patagonia clothes can last a whole lifetime. Their production is very diversified: caps, t-shirts, sweatshirts ...

Ethical

Patagonia offers impeccable working conditions to all its employees, allowing them to evolve within a sane and ethic production line. During Black Friday she unveiled an ad with the words "don't buy this jacket" in order to make people think of the hyper consumption.
