PBS Learning Media PBS has curated free content for PreK to grade 12 in all subjects. The content is aligned with standards and is searchable by subject, grade, resource type, length of video/audio, language, and accessibility.
TeacherTube This is a repository of educational and instructional videos for all ages of students from elementary to college. It is free to use or upload content. Users may flag questionable content, which will be reviewed and possibly removed.

He recommends that teachers test a few programs with students and then add more programs as users become comfortable and familiar with the alternatives to commercial software.
SourceForge Thousands of free open source education software programs can easily be filtered by OS, category, license, language, programming language, or status (e.g. production/stable, beta, alpha, etc.).
