A conversation between a fast-food restaurant manager and a job candidate: Manager: Hello, welcome to our fast-food restaurant ! My name is Sarah and I'm the manager, thanks for coming in to interview for the position. Jack : Hi, thanks for having me. My name ‘s Jack. Manager: So Jack, let's start by discussing your experience. Have you worked in a fast-food or restaurant environment before? Jack : Yes, I have. I worked at a burger chain for two years as a cashier and line cook .Manager: Excellent ! We're looking for people who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can provide friendly and efficient service to our customers. Can you tell me more about your experience? Jack : Sure, I worked as a cashier for most of my time at the burger chain. I took orders, handled cash and credit card transactions, and made sure the customers had everything they needed. I also helped out in the kitchen when we were busy, preparing burgers, fries, and other items.

Manager : Great. Let's talk about why you're interested in working here. What do you think you can bring to our team? Jack : Well, I'm a hard worker and a quick learner. I'm also very customer-focused and I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Manager: Those are great qualities to have. Can you give me an example of a time when you went above and beyond for a customer? Jack : Yes I can. There was a customer at the cafe I worked at who had a gluten allergy. I made sure to double-check with the kitchen that their food was prepared safely and made some recommendations on what they could order. Manager : That's great to hear, Jack. We're looking for someone who can handle both front-of-house and back-of-house duties, so your experience would definitely come in handy. We also have a focus on cleanliness and food safety. Can you tell me how you prioritize these in a fast-paced environment?
