Old era of transportation

In ancient Europe, people were transported individually on horses, collectively people moved in carts pulled by drivers, that is, to traction of blood, and carts pulled by horses. In the deserts, they were transported on camels.

Graf zeppelin

In Germany, was built a rigid aircraft originally manufactured by Luftschiffsbau-Zeppelin, called Zeppelin, consisting of a cigar-shaped frame, tied and covered with internal gas cells. The airship flew 600 trips over the Atlantic 150 times and a regular freight and mail line was established in 1936 with South America. ​

Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1961

In 1961, the TI version was upgraded to 74 hp (54 kW). With this new engine the car could reach a speed of almost 160 km/h. The production of the Saloon continued until 1963, while the TI model continued for another year.

In German region of Wuppertal, is one of the local atracctions and an important mean of transportation. It travels the city by air, which allows you to enjoy the views, although not only tourists visit it, citizens also use it as a mean of urban transport, so this tram usually carries 25 million passengers each year.

Solar impulse

The Solar Impulse 2 , this solar plane needed 21 days of flight to travel the 42,000 kilometers to go around the world. Solar Impulse is an aircraft designed to minimize energy consumption, using lightweight materials to reduce its weight. The cruising speed of the plane is about 70 kilometers per hour. Its design also allows it to fly by glide, which practically reduces instantaneous power consumption to zero. The energy storage capacity and glide capability allow the Solar Impulse to fly at night.

The future of transportation

Hyperloop

Along with autonomous vehicles, Hyperloop will probably be the technology applied to the world of transportation that will have the most transcendence in the coming years. The idea proposed in 2012 by Elon Musk has evolved into a competition promoted by SpaceX and in which several companies and research centers participate.

Hyperloop

Among the companies, Hyperloop One stands out for having more advanced performance tests in different parts of the world. From a technical point of view, Hyperloop is presented as a new mode of transport that seeks to change the current paradigm, being faster and cheaper than other currently existing means of transport.
