• Almost half of the population lives in the area around Buenos Aires

ARGENTINA, ESPECIALLY IN NORTH-EAST IS CHARACTERIZED BY RAINFOREST AND IGUAZU' FALLS. FURTHERMORE NEAR THE ANDES THERE IS A TERRITORY LIKE THE SAVANA.

THIS NATIONS IS RICH IN ANIMAL SPECIES.

• IN THE NORTHERN PART THERE ARE PUMA, CROCODILES, FLAMINGOS AND TOUCANS.
• IN PATAGONIA'S COAST THERE ARE ELEPHANT SEALS, PENGUIN AND SEA LIONS

History

• 1516; the Spanish arrived and ruled the country for 300 years.
• 1810; Napoleon's forces conquered the major Spanish cities in Spain and the argentine people take control of their country
• 1816; Argentina gained indipendence
• 1946; Juan Peron became president. Many years after the death of his first wife he remarried and was re-elected.
• After Peron's death, the country's economy collapsed and there was a violent period called ''the dirty war''
• Later a defeat in 1982 the nation moved towards democracy and civilian rule

Chimichurry: is a very tasty condiment used as a garnish for meat dishes
