How it all started

It started when two wonderful colleagues created this project.Laura Modena from Italy (founder) and Fatma Konay from Türkiye (co founder)

In the project, 9 teachers from 5 countries, take part.

This project is an international project of English teachers and CLIL teachers with beginner students. The aim of the project is to provide permanent learning by teaching our beginner level students new English words while having fun. In this project, where we will deal with the effective use of web 2.0 tools by increasing the digital competencies of our students, we plan to work interactively and collaboratively with different activities every month.

On January 10th, we had the first teachers' online meeting. We introduced ourselves and we talked about the project. All together we decided the project plan and the tasks distribution.

On the 17th of February, we had the first students' online meeting.We all had an enjoyable time. The students played quizzes and mentimenter and have fun together.

On March 31st, we had two Spelling Bee semi finals, one in the morning and one in the evening, with the participation of 23 contestants from 5 countries. The contestants competed fiercely and it was absolutely magnificent. It was not easy to choose the competitors who will participate in the final competition. All breaths were held as the letters came out one by one. At the end of this exciting competition, Davide from Italy, Roumeissa from Greece, Pelin from Türkiye, had the chance to compete in the finals on behalf of both their schools and their countries. In addition to these three students, we congratulate all our students and teachers who participated in the competition.

On May 4th the final round of the competition took place.

And the winner was Roumeissa from the 8th Primary School of Kallithea. Congratulations to all the students.
