Digraphs
Digraphs are graphemes in which two adjacent letters function as a single unit, usually pronounced as a single "sound." Trigraphs have three adjacent letters. Common examples include:
Consonant clusters are any sequence of adjacent consonants. Not all combinations are possible in English. Common examples include:
