History of Colpbol

Colpbol was created in Valencia in 1997. The creator was Juanjo Bendicho who is a Physical Education teacher. Colpbol is characterised by its great dynamism, integration and egalitarianism, with all members of the team having the same importance, and mixed teams of both sexes being the norm and not the exception. Colpbol was invented because it is an easy game to play for everyone. Within a few years, the sport became popular in Valencia, with small tournaments being held throughout the region. In 2005 Colpbol was officially presented by Juanjo Bendicho in front of many Physical Education teachers, media and other people interested in it.

Colpbol se creó en Valencia en 1997. Su creador fue Juanjo Bendicho que es profesor de Educación Física. El Colpbol se caracteriza por su gran dinamismo, integración e igualitarismo, teniendo todos los miembros del equipo la misma importancia, siendo los equipos mixtos de ambos sexos la norma y no la excepción. El colpbol se inventó porque es un juego fácil de practicar para todos. En pocos años, este deporte se popularizó en Valencia y se celebraron pequeños torneos por toda la región. En 2005 el Colpbol fue presentado oficialmente por Juanjo Bendicho ante numerosos profesores de Educación Física, medios de comunicación y otras personas interesadas en él.

History of Kickball

Nicholas C. Seuss invented kickball in 1917 in the United States (Cincinatti, Ohio) and it was played in parks all over the city. He invented the game to help children better understand the rules of baseball and softball. When it was invented, it was known as kick baseball. A few years later, kickball was adopted by physical education teachers across the country as an introduction to baseball. Soldiers adopted it to keep them busy and energetic during World War II. In the 1990s, adults became interested in the game again and many adult leagues were formed. Today it is one of the most popular games among children and adults in parks. Although Kickball originated in the United States, other countries have developed an interest in the game. They keep many of the rules of the original game, but have changed the name. Nicholas C. Seuss inventó el kickball en 1917 en Estados Unidos (Cincinatti, Ohio) y se jugaba en los parques de toda la ciudad. Inventó el juego para ayudar a los niños a entender mejor las reglas del béisbol y el softball. Cuando se inventó, se conocía como "kick baseball". Unos años más tarde, el kickball fue adoptado por los profesores de educación física de todo el país, como introducción al béisbol. Los soldados lo adoptaron para mantenerse ocupados y con energía durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. En los años 90, los adultos volvieron a interesarse por el juego y crearon muchas ligas de adultos. Hoy es uno de los juegos más populares entre niños y adultos en los parques. Aunque el Kickball procede de Estados Unidos, hay otros países que han desarrollado interés por este juego.
