Plot
Chacterzation
The major plot point of this book is the climax. In this part of the story sam and caine fight each other for control of perido beach at this point sam relizes just how far caine is willingly to go for power. And sam has to confront his fear and stand up to the bullies of perido beach and save the town.
Cacterzation of the novel: CaineCaine is the main atanginist of the story, and he is also sam's (the main protangnist) half brother. This discovery later in the story cuases him to be more rash and brash as he tries to fit for power agianst his brother who dosent agree with what he is doing. He is a descive atanginist who can cuase great acts of good but manlity inflicts pain and cruelty agianst the other kids of perido beach and seems to be have no quamls with hurting other people.

Summary
The main theme of this book is leadership. The theme is about being able to guide groups of people through situtions. In the book their are 2 people trying to lead everyone and take control of the sitution, sam and caine.
The main charcter of this book is a boy called sam temple, and when all of the the people over the age of 14 suddenly dissapair from his small town of perido beach california. And as he and his freinds struggle to survive in a life without adults he has to step and protect the people he cares about and save the town from the local bullies who are trying to take over.

The nuclear power plant is asymbol of gone becuase this is what cuased the entri toevent to start. The plant cuase radeation o leak throughout the town and cuase mutation in the kids and anmials thier, which lead to chos and resulted inthe death of many people throught the book.
