Plot

The Theme in Maze Runner is sacrifice, because during the coarse of the book many characters risk their life to save others around them demonstrating various attempts of self sacrifice. "Thomas fears the Runner may have been stung, so he calls out for help and Alby comes running to meet them. When they reach the Runner, they find that he is conscious but extremely exhausted and barely able to speak. Alby says the Runner’s name is Minho. Minho asks Alby for some water and Alby goes off to get him some."(Chapter 12 Dashner)

The main character Thomas is intelligent, brave, and caring. He shows intelligence alot in the story because he thinks before he acts and trys to make the best decisions for the group. His bravery motivates his friends to keep going and find out who is behind all of this. Thomas is very caring and he shows this while he is putting others first and making sure no man is left behind.

The books focuses on Thomas, a teenage boy with no memory of life before the Maze, the friends and team he makes in the Glade, and their struggles to survive a series of deadly and dangerous tests and overthrow the corporation running them.

In the book Maze Runner by James Dashner the main character, Thomas mysteriously woke up in an elevator confused and somehow his memory is lost and he cant recall his life before hand. Once he meets the fellow people in The Glade he quicky learns the rules of the maze and knows that whatever is out there, isnt friendly. Thomas takes it upon himself to get him and his friends out of there no matter the danger. Along the way him and the other maze runners come across difficult challenges some they overcome, and some they do not.

The Symbol is a maze because the whole story is a plot to escape and get justice for those who lost their life in the maze.
