Vocabulary

Right Triangle: A triangle with a 90 degree angle. Hypotenuse: The side of a right triangle that does NOT touch the right angle. Adjacent side: The side that is next to the given angle. Oppostite side: The side that does NOT touch the given angle.

Pythagorean TheoremUsed to find a 3rd side of a right triangle a + b = c

When you know the base and the height:A = 1/2 bh

A = 1/2 bc sin (A) A = 1/2 ac sin (B) A= 1/2 ab sin (C)
