What to Look for

Bed bugs leave several signs of their presence, including bites, bloodstains, fecal spots and cast skins

Bites are often the first sign of an infestation and may appear as red, itchy welts in a line or cluster

  • Separate items for deep cleaning
  • Double bag items for trash

How to Safely Handlea Bed Infestation

  • The items that are salvagable, handle with extreme care
    • Use gloves and plastic bags to store infested items
    • Seal the bag tightly and label as infested
    • Use separate luggage if having to travel with infested items

Remember that reporting the infestation to hotel management helps them to identify and address the problem. It also allows the hotel to prevent future infestations, and protects current and future guests!
