"Where learning is enhanced through technology"
Anchor
Task
- There is no need to order things based on what is of the utmost importance. Project-based learning with technology provides the teacher the opportunity to be specific in assigning a given task and students can also help design a task which is a great way to support student-centered learning. - The teacher can model and/or provide examples of tasks.
- A strong anchor is critical to the success of any project. It creates a solid foundation in which students are engaged in what they are learning and the project they develop. - An anchor can be more than an anchor chart. An anchor can be a resource that is related to students personal experiences, videos, and newspapers.
There is a task, but how do we complete the task without clear "directions"? Directions are provided by the teacher and must be given clearly so that students know exactly what to do and what is expected of them.
Student Choices
Student Inquiry
Is this information meaningful to my project?
There is a task and directions for the project, but do I, as the student have a choice in my learning?
students must be allowed to make choices in project-based learning.
students evaluate information through various resources and identify which ones will be useful.
There are various ways that students can make choices. This includes the resources that are being used, group members, roles and responsibilities, and steps that may be taken to successfully complete the project.
students are not limited to the resources they use.
Collaboration and Teamwork
Students may have individual tasks to complete, but it is the collaboration and efforts of all students that makes the project an effective learning experience. collaboration=roles=responsibility=teamwork
Teacher Coaching and Feedback
- teacher coaching consists of constructive critcism that promotes growth - the feedback builds on the teacher coaching. Not only is the teacher modeling how the student can improve, they provide feedback that students can understand and apply.
Student Reflection....with a purpose Collaboration- reflect as a group. Students critique and learn from the reflections of their peers. They are individual- released on one's experiences while completing the project.
Public Presentation
Making Connections
- Public presentations are not limited to speeches. Students have the opportunity to share their hard work to audiences through platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom.
