CHARLES CHAPLIN ON THE BULL RING OF CHOFRE ( 1931 )
The photograph above was taken by Ricardo Martín in the first half of the 20th century and was one of his most successful. In this picture we can see Charles Chaplin; a very famous actor worldwide who was waving at the Chofre bullring with a smile on his face. This picture shows us the happiness of Charles when he visited for the first time a bullring, he went there due to the fact that he was very interested to the bullfighting world. He witnessed the atmosphere of the 30's in the iconic bullring of San Sebastian. People were amazed by the appearance of the actor and his presence made this place a moment that will be remembered in history as the first time of Charles' life in Chofre, but that day haven’t been special just because Charles had gone to there for the first time, the bullfighter had also had a memorable accident. In that day the bullfighter had got gravely injuried because the bull had hit him hardly and he had been taken out of the ring by the ambulance.
