The environment plays a fundamental role in the functioning of the planet and the maintenance of ecological balance. However, human action has caused significant negative impacts on the environment, including air, water and soil pollution, deforestation, ecosystem degradation and climate change.

Use less gasoline and plastic
Eat less red meat
Gasoline and plastic are made from petroleum or oil. A lot of oil comes from the rainforests and oil extratction is very harmful to the rainforests.
One big reason rainforests are being destroyed is to turn the land into pastures for cows.
Use less paper
Most paper comes from trees and using less paper can help save the rainforest.
Raise Money
Raising money to help protect rainforest land is easy and important. You can get together with students from your classroom.
Ride your bike, walk or take the bus
If you drive somewhere in a car, you use too much fuel.
