The Battle of Gettysburg took place from July 1–3, 1863, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, United States, during the American Civil War. This battle is considered the turning point of the Civil War in favor of the Union, as it inflicted a major defeat on General Robert E. Lee's Confederate army.
Lee's army had invaded Pennsylvania in hopes of winning a decisive victory over the Union. However, upon meeting at Gettysburg, the two armies engaged in a fierce battle that lasted three days. The Union, led by General George G. Meade, was eventually able to repel the Confederate attacks and win the battle.

Indeed, there was 391 major battles but some battle remained more known by the people like the battle of Antietam
The Battle of Antietam, also known as the Battle of Sharpsburg, was fought on September 17 1862. It was the bloodiest single-day battle in American history, with a total of over 22.000 casualties. The battle took place near Antietam Creek in Sharpsburg, Maryland, and was fought between Confederate General Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia and Union General George B. McClellan's Army of the Potomac.
Harriet tubman's testimony :The battle began with an early morning assault by Union troops against the Confederate left flank. The fighting was intense, with both sides suffering heavy casualties. Later in the day, the Confederates launched a counterattack that was repulsed by Union troops, and the fighting ended with both sides holding their ground.

The battle of Gettysburg began on the 1st of June 1863
The Battle of Gettysburg was a pivotal moment in the American Civil War and was fought from July 1 to July 3, 1863, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was the largest battle ever fought in North America, with over 165,000 soldiers participating, and resulted in more than 50,000 casualties. The battle was fought between the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia, led by General Robert E. Lee, and the Union Army of the Potomac, led by General George G. Meade.
Hypotetical testimony from Jefferson Davis: The Battle of Gettysburg was a brutal and bloody affair, with over 50,000 casualties on both sides. I think it's important to remember that both the Union and the Confederacy were fighting for what they believed in, even if their beliefs were vastly different. Robert E. Lee was a brilliant military strategist, but his arrogance and overconfidence led to his defeat at Gettysburg. In my opinion, the Union's victory was due in large part to the leadership of General Meade, who was able to rally his troops and lead them to victory. Overall, the Battle of Gettysburg was a pivotal moment in American history, and it's important to study it and learn from it so that we can avoid making the same mistakes in the future.
