Step 1: Recap and Learner Personas
Step 2: Learning Objectives
The eLearning course learning objectives will serve as the basis for the learning objectives for the information graphics that I produce. Learning Objectives for my course:
- Employees must be able to define what a slip, trip and fall accident is.
- Employees must be able to identify fall hazards in the workplace.
- Employees must be able to understand Slip, Trip and Fall Laws based on UK Regulations.
- Employees must be able to understand Sonoco Rules and Policies on Slips, Trips and Falls.
- Employees must be able to explain ways in which slip, trip and fall hazards can be prevented.
- Employees must be able to describe housekeeping rules to keep workplaces free from slip, trip and fall hazards.
Recap: In part one of my project, I set out to create an online safety training for Sonoco, a major producer of product packaging. Since there had been a rising tendency in the number of slip, trip, and fall accidents, the course's goal was to assist employees in understanding what to do to lower those numbers. Scope: I am currently incorporating infographics as a resource for my eLearning course as I continue to build it. I made the decision to use infographics as a result of my learner personas in mind. My learner personas were diverse because some worked directly on factory floors and others in offices. Hence, having printable infographics that can be displayed publicly for staff members or managers who operate in various places would aid in spreading the content of the eLearning course and preserving a secure work environment. Also, certain learner personas expressed a preference for printed handouts or paper copies of training, so a printed infographic would be ideal for these workers. Click on the icons below to review the learner personas again:
Step 3: Type & Number Infographics
Decide if it will be standalone infographic or a series of infographics. Decide the type of infographics to meet your learning objectives:
Volume of infographics
Type of infographics
- I will be creating three infographics to target all of my learning objectives.
- The first infographics will target learning objectives 1&2:
- The second infographics will target 3&4:
- The last infographic will target 5&6:
- The first infographic will combine statistics and informative representations.
- Informative presentation of data will be the subject of Infographic 2.
- A How To (Process) approach will be take when creating infographic 3.
- Each infographic will have a combination of pictures, text, and an appealing design in printable form.
- Timelines
- Information
- Roadmap
- Statistics
- Comparative
- Process
Step 4: Content Outline (Series of Infographics)
Topic How to recognise these workplace hazards, including what constitutes a slip, trip, or fall.

In order to provide facts in an educational manner and to make the infographic more reminiscent of a poster for printing purposes as well as to attract the reader's attention, I used a combination of images and text. The first infographic worked best in this format because it included all the necessary information for the user and worked well as a printed handout.

All procedures on how to keep safe and prevent slips, trips, and falls, in my opinion, were most effective in this sort of wireframe format. The greatest way to offer "How to" information is through the use of a ladder effect. This format, which is clear, concise, and well-structured, will help the user better retain the information from the infographic. The photos were displayed clearly.
SLIPS TRIPS AND FALLS AT WORK
WHAT ARE THEY?
DEFINITION
Slips happen when there is insufficient friction or traction between the footwear and the floor. A trip occurs when a foot bumps against or collides with an item, losing balance and frequently leading to a fall.
COMMON HAZARDS
- oily or moist surfaces
- equipment that is unanchored or has loose matting.
- flooring or floor surfaces with uneven amounts of traction throughout.
- weather risks (ice, rain, etc.)

HOW TO PREVENT SLIPS TRIPS AND FALLS
GOOD HOUSEKEEPING
Prevention!
Clear the exits and aisles of all objects.
A polished floor might obstruct individuals from recognising potential dangers
If rainwater gets onto a smooth surface inside or outside of a building, it may create a slip hazard.
In locations that can't always be cleaned, think about putting anti-slip flooring.
Consider installing anti-slip flooring in areas that can’t always be cleaned.
Utilize guards and drip pans.
Clean up your workspace and the spaces around it at the end of each shift.
Wear correct anti-slip footwear!

COMMENTARY
I now have a series of three functioning prototypes for infographics that are both printable and accessible online after creating the supporting materials for my eLearning course. This module's objective was to make sure that we customised solutions for unique situations when it came to figuring out how to provide learning for various learner personas and preferences. In conclusion, this training module ought to enable the learner to receive the proper support they require while maintaining an understanding over the business problem, the learning objectives, and the learning gaps in mind. It ought to also guarantee that effective, digestible, and focused safety training has been established. I achieved this by making sure to use the scope for each infographic, as well as by gathering and analysing data for each one individually. I then arranged the data points for each infographic in the layout order. To better understand the layout and design plan of each infographic, I later generated three distinct wireframe plans for each.
