What is Konsulta Program of PHilhealth

The Universal Health Care act was enacted to ensure that filipinos are guaranteed equitable and access to quality and affordable health care goods and services and protected against financial risk. The Development of Philhealth's Koltusasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) package expansion of the primary care benefit to cover all filipinos.PhilHealth Konsultasyong Sulit Tama (Konsulta) is a comprehensive outpatient benefits as mandated by the Universal Health Care Law.

THE AIMS OF THE PHILHEALTH KONSULTA PRGRAM

PhilHealth Konsulta aims to: ✔ Protect the health of every Filipinos against chronic illnesses ✔ Avoid complications through early detection ✔ To provide affordable drugs and medicines Under the PhilHealth Konsulta, all Filipinos shall be registered with an accredited PhilHealth Konsulta Provider of their choice and be eligible to avail of the following: ✔ Consultation ✔ Health Risk Screening and Assessment ✔ Selected Laboratory and Diagnostic Test ✔ Selected Drugs and medicines

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

This outpatient package includes consultation, laboratory examinations, and drugs and medicines with prescriptions, which are free for members and their dependents, provided they register and avail of it in a government hospital-provider or a personal co-pay of PHP500 in a private provider.

A. Primary Care Services - first-contact, comprehensive, continuing and coordinative care to beneficiaries including but not limited to: 1. Consultation and case management for any conditions, including individual health education, that can be managed by a Primary Care Physician and team as determined by the legal scope of practice 2. Provision of preventive health services as listed in Annex E 3. Assisting eligible beneficiaries in accessing services in subcontracted or partner facilities 4. Referral to specialty and higher levels of care
