This is something that can be done outside of myON. For example, if you are having the student's research Van Gough and you want them to create a slide desk about him. You can give those directions here.

In the Writing Task, you can set a word and time goals. There is even a create a checklist feature so your students can check off each proofreading step.

There are 12 different Graphic Organizers to choose from. There are a few examples: Venn Diagram, Cause and Effect, Make a Prediction, and KWL Charts.

There can only be one News Task per project, but you can add as many books as you want to this task.

At the end of most books, your students will be asked if they liked that book by using a star rating. Then they will be asked five questions about the book that they read. You can view the results of their quiz in the Quizzes Report. You can see all the reviews they have given books to approve or deny reviews with profanity.

Or maybe you want to search by the TEKS that you are going to be focusing on. Here you can search by standard, subject, or grade level. It is also super easy to add books to the project from here as well.

Type in a title you are looking for or a topic/subject, and myON will find books about what you searched.

As you search for books, you can favorite them, making them easier to add to a project later. It will also ask you if you want to bundle the books, this is also an easy way to add them to a project.

You can search for books by genre, reading level, or fiction or non-fiction.

Library

This is a list of all the books that myON has available for the grade level you selected. Or that myON thinks your students would like to read.

Books

Library:

There are always five articles for the students to read. Each article also has extension activities for the students as well. A video and a map that shows where the story is taking place, a fact, an extra picture, and more. As with everything you can add articles to a project. There is even a short quiz at the end of each article.

News

The students log in the same way as you by logging into Ready Hub and then clicking the Renaissance square. Then they will click the purple square that says myON. Once in their home screen will show books they have read/finished, pages read, and minutes they have spent in myON. They can even see the projects that have been assigned to them. They have a Library tab that shows them all the books, a News tab with the news, and a project tab where they can see a breakdown of the different projects that have been assigned and by which teacher.
