Introduction

Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) is a resource for ongoing teacher development established by the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). InTASC Standards (formerly called InTASC Principles) are a support tool to promote and improve teacher effectiveness and growth. There are 10 standards. InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards are used by many teacher preparation programs across the United States.
