New technologies
In education, we can see that new technologies are more and more often used and make thelearning process more interesting so students achieve much better results. What’s more it is much more ecological process because it does not require, for example, the use of paper and following the spirit of the times, it becomes more attractive to youths.
Self Grown Ideas
Empowerement
The main idea of empowerment is handling od decision-making to the ‘clients’ in the educational relationship, in other words it shifts the power of making decisions from theprincipal to the teacher and then from the teacher to the student. The youths have many great ideas but we have to enable them to implement them.
Self Grown Ideas
Games and fun activities
It is very important to make the process of learning an enjoyable experience, therefore teaching will be effective. Through play, teens develop thinking skills and abilities that help them to succeed in their future. The topic of play in education is often brought up in context of children, but this method is forgotten when teaching young people.
Self Grown Ideas
Experiments and DIY
The real knowledge comes from exploring. That is why it is so important to let the students use all the senses to understand certain process. In this case, learning happens ‘by the way’ and is real not just theoretical. It helps to understand and remember some phenomena.

Youth workers
One can not teach or educate others if he himself does not have a proper knowledge.
Before we start thinking of organizing international activities, projects or meetings with youngsters we should first consider professional development of youth workers.
The easiest way to ensure professional development for youth workers is by participating in Erasmus+ program, which gives you almost unlimited opportunities.

Erasmus projects
The Erasmus project allows us to have a support of mobility and exchange that the young people can use to organize their own trip abroad. A first exchange between the young people and the Erasmus group made of Greeks, Polish, Turkish and French was set up. By means of a video call prepared beforehand by the young people, they were able to exchange with the participants of the different countries. Ask questions about places, itineraries, customs and what opportunity can be offered to them.

The first step towards understanding sustainability is to live it daily. Infants and young children start by seeing people who exhibit thes behaviours. Here is how it is dealt with in the different youth organisations visited during the project.
As educators explain what they are doing to the students, they learn through song or poetry. Children older than three can start to reason about the necessity of activities and understand how their actions affect the environment. Also, whenever feasible, -they use recyclable materials urging kids to just use a half flush on the toilets - they encourage kids to turn off the water once they have finished washing their hands - they encourage kids to recycle paper and trash in their rooms, at home, and in the neighbourhood. - they educate kids about electtricity and urge them to switch off lights.
Children stuffing old socks to create an octopus
They are good at promoting environmental awareness through "green housekeeping practices" such as eco friendly gardening, healthy eating, waste reduction, recycling and water and energy conservation. They encourage children's critical thinking and help them understand and respect environment. They collaborate with families and kids to study local animals. Both their educational programs include sustainability concepts because they are dedicated to preserving the environment for the benefit of their children's future.

Kids are inspired to think imaginatively, develop, and design solutions to issues in the real world by robotics. Plus, it encourages kids to think of fresh, original ssolutions to issues as they arise. teaching Computational Thinking Through Coding turns into a game. Additionally, robots can inspire young people to think creatively and independently. It is a place where students may express themseves, explore on their wn and with others, learn new skills and solve problems; all of this while enjoying themselves. Children are introduced to the engineering design process through robotics. When it becomes robotics, a child's coding has an impact on the real world since it determines how the robot moves and responds. the robot is a tool for thought.

The design of smart cities can offer innovative intelligent integrated technological solutions (Smart Cities Solutions), contributing decisively to the reduction of the environmental footprint, to saving resources for the Local Government, ensuring for all citizens a clean environment, health, safety and, finally, better quality of life.A smart city with a central robotic system should manipulate:
- electric vehicles,
- charging stations,
- water meters,
- parking spots,
- garbage cans,
- smart benches,
- city lights,
- • COVID portals and many other facilities of the city.
You should consider one of the European Commission’s priorities:
- Inclusion and diversity
- Environmental sustainability
- Digital transformation in the field of youth
- Participation and civic engagement
Most of governments has introduced recycling regulations, but these actions have not yet had an impact on people's attitudes. The developed of a solution to this could be a robotic system that automatically sort steel cans, aluminum cans, glass bottles and plastic bottles in recycling centers. Robotic waste sorters can use additional flexible systems, like numerous cameras to more accurately detect the waste items. In order to promote the Circular Economy, which places robotic technology at the service of waste management agencies, two autonomous robotic municipal trash sorting systems are being built and put into operation in Heraklion and Chania, Greece. This will maximize the efficacy of the existing recycling centers.
In a smart city Every citizen should have a "mobile app" for information on the City's intelligent solutions. interactive comunication with all municipal or regional services to report issues affecting daily life. The essential components of a smart city infrastructure are listed below: • sufficient and smart water supply • supply of electricity and smart control. • improved governance, particularly e-government and citizen involvement. • eco-friendly surroundings. • Sanitation (including solid waste management). • better transportation infrastructure. • Safety and secure, especially for women and kids. • Affordable housing options designed especially for the poor.
- Optimum digitalization and IT connectivity
- Both health and education.
- Environment protection

Create an Android application that displays all the data (also available on a browser).
Mode of operation: Our robotic construction will recognize through sensors the type of waste and with proper programming will separate recyclable or non-recyclable materials into separate bins. The weight of the items plays an important role in the sorting as it will be able through the sensor to designate heavy items to go into a third bin. Each object has a different colour so that the sensor can tell which bin to throw it into. Once their separation is complete, separate forks take over to move the bins to their respective locations. PROGRAMMING- Robotic kit: For the needs of the course, the robot kits Mindstorms EV3 and Spike Prime can be used. → EV3 is used to create the object placement path, as well as to create the forklift. → While the spike is used to separate the objects, through its

The duration of activities must be between 2-60 days Duration of the project if from 3to 24 months Minimum 2 organizations from 2 different countries must participate in the project. There is a maximum of 50 participants per activity. Erasmus+ funding covers: transport, individual support (accommodation, food) and organizational support (preparation of participants for the mobilities or costs connected with visa or insurance)
The οbjectives of building a smart house is to attain the ideal levels of comfort, safety, and energy efficiency while also protecting the environment. The owner of such house can, for instance, better control the temperature of the house without using excessive energy by using the remote control to operate the household appliances. Awnings should be raised or lowered in advance to provide summertime cooling, conserve electricity, and cause less pollution and environmental damage. Also, the ability to remotely turn on or off the home's lighting saves energy and reduces environmental pollution.
- Visualization, control and management of lighting and electrical devices.
- Friendly and multilingual interfaces.
- Possibility of voice commands through "Google Assistant" and "Amazon Alexa".
- Secure connection to the local network via Wi-Fi.
- Ability to schedule scripts and commands
- Maximum economy and comfort through intelligent scenarios.
- Low cost of implementation in existing or new installations
The main objectives of the Smart Cities Mission are as follows: • Promote economic development. • Improve the quality of life of people by using technology that offers smart results. • Generate employment. • Increase income, especially for poor and marginalized people.
- a non-profit organisation, association, NGO; European Youth NGO; a public body at local, regional, national level; a social enterprise; a profit-making body active in Corporate Social Responsibility; - an informal group of young people - Minimum two participating organisations from two different countries - The project must last from 3 to 24 months - You can apply for a project in February or October (in some countries additional round in May is available) - The youth exchange must include minimum 16 maximum 60 participants (group leaders excluded) - In these projects you may receive funds for:transport, accommodation, hosting of the group (food, activities etc). No proper funds are expected from participants.
With construction paper, kids can construct a city model complete with streets, traffic lights, and buildings. Electric self-driving cars in the smart city would go along predetermined routes and come to a stop when they saw red traffic signals. The project can be split into two sections. A. The first section will involve programming an Arduino kit to regulate the traffic lights' ,green and red, whenever there is traffic on the road. B. The second section would involve construction vehicles with Lego bricks, that would stop at red lights and re-start at green ones. The line follower approach could also be used to have self-driving robotic vehicles that follow lines drawn on highways. An example is provided at the following image.
A challenge for energy conservation and environmental protection is the technology of automation, control, and management of appliances and services in household settings. A smart house can be constructed by replacing old home appliances with contemporary models. A wi-fi system can be installed in the recent electrical devices including washing machines, dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators, ovens, heating boilers, televisions, surveillance cameras, and even door locks so they can link to the home's main network. The owner of a smart home can manage, activate, and control all of these devices remotely by establishing a Desktop or smartphone app.
- The utilization and combination of expertise available in educational/research institutions for the benefit of local communities.
- Investigating its economic exploitation potential as a low-cost stand-alone product that significantly improves existing industrial recycling infrastructures.
- Improving the existing sorting system by managing to process more recyclables and sorting more types of recyclables.Achieving higher recovery success rates (97-99%) of recyclable materials.
- The creation of a low-cost integrated system, immediately applicable in industrialenvironments.
- The system design to satisfy the need for less space, time as well as for easier installation.

Also, the ability to remotely turn on or off the home's lighting saves energy and reduces environmental pollution.
The main objectives of the Smart Cities Mission are as follows: • Promote economic development. • Improve the quality of life of people by using technology that offers smart results. • Generate employment. • Increase income, especially for poor and marginalized people.
