BEANS EXPERIMENT

HOW MUCH THEY HAVE GROWN

01

TROPISMS AND GEOTROPISM

ExplaNATION what IS tropisms in general and what is geotropism.

Geotropism
Tropisms in general

The growth of the parts of plants in response to the force of gravity. The upward growth of plant shoots is an instance of negative geotropism; the downward growth of roots is positive geotropism.

A tropism is the innate ability of an organism to turn or move in response to a stimulus. As opposed to a learned ability, innate reactions are genetically programmed. Organisms with a tropism will naturally turn toward a stimulus. A stimulus can be any signal from the environment
