This course is designed to give visitors to Hartsville the knowledge they need to stay safe while on the site.

By the end of this course you will be able to:
Your person of contact is responsible for guiding you during your visit. If there is a campus emergency, follow the instructions from your person of contact. The following slides are instructions on actions to take if your person of contact is not in your immediate area to direct you.
Person of Contact
This is an example of an emergency evacuation plan.
Upon entering the building be aware of exit routes and exit signs. Exit routes are posted in hallways and stairways. Evacuation emergencies include: •Fire (Follow evacuation route to rally point) •Intruder / Active Shooter •Bomb Threat

•Tornado •Earthquake •Flood (locate safe room on the top floor) •Hurricane •Nuclear emergency
Safe room emergencies include:
Close the door and stay in the safe room until notified.
In the event of severe weather locate a safe room. Safe rooms are located in the center of the building and without windows.

Campus Security
Manufacturing areas require personal protective equipment. Your person of contact is responsible for providing you with the required PPE. Examples of PPE include:
- Steel toe shoes or toe covers
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Hard hat
- High visibility vest
