WWI Exploration: purposes of Weaponry and Aircrafts.
Planes were one of the new things that they could use in war and were still being developed. Weapnry was also something that served a great purpose in war. We will look at some in this infographic.
Weaponry is also something that has come a long way and had many uses over the course of the WWI
Some of the other things that planes provided were fast service, natural rout and high speed combat.
Italy used the first aircraft against the Turks in 1911
Some of the most comonly used weapons were the machine gun, bombs as in granades. Tanks were also soon coming into picture but were still evolving, only a few alies used them . They would also used barbed wire explosives that would trigger bombs to explode.
The Germans were the first to create a machine gun attached to the aircraft that was in sink with the propellers!
But planes were not only used for combat, they were also used as a way of gathering information from enemy treches and locating any enemy movement.
