Sources

The film story is based on the biography Alan Turing: The Enigma by Andrew Hodges. However, as previously mentioned Graham Moore, the screenplay, took some scriptural liberties.

Green backgrounds and special effects

VFX

To make the scenery as realistic as possible, especially in the war scenes, they used green backgrounds as you can see here in my picture, and special effects (VFX).

nomination

For all the work behind but also the discrepancy with reality, The Imitation Game has been both criticized and praised but it is already a great success 10 weeks after its release. It has already been nominated in eight categories, including Best Picture, Best Director for Tyldum, Best Actor for Cumberbatch... etc.
