Controlled breathing

01. RESUME

Controlled breathing

While all of the actions initially listed are great alternatives, I consider controlled breathing the superior. It can be implemented into any type of stress. Ex: -When competing in high level competitions of any sport, you can perform the box breathing method, which consists of breathing in for 5 seconds, holding for 5, exhaling for 5, and holding for 5 again. Which asists with focusing on the rhythm of your breath. -While reducing stress, I perform 2 different types of breathing. Diaphram breathing is a great option, which is slow breathing with deep breaths, filling your lungs with air. The next is alternating nosril breathing, which invloves closing one nostril, taking a deep breath, then switching after each breath.

Deprivation sensitivity

Seeking feedback for constructive criticism

reflecting on your experiences

Exposing youself to new experiences

collaborating with others for new perspectives

Asking questions to fill the knowledge gaps

Reflecting on your experiences

Reflecting on your experiences

My top action choice for deprivation sensitivity has to be reflecting on your personal experiences. This skill is so useful, since you are able to identify the resources and opportunities that are particularly important for their well-being and happiness, such as social support, financial stability, or access to education and opportunities for personal growth. Reflecting is also able to increase self-awareness, promote empathy and compassion for others, and inspire action to create a more equitable and just world.
