Timeline

Students will each be given a goals worksheet and a pencil.

Step 1

The teacher will ask the students to set goals for themselves when it comes to technology.

Step 2

Once the students have filled out their worksheets, the teacher will take up the worksheets and store them as a “time capsule”.

Step 3

Step 4

The students throughout the year, will complete activities that allow them to reach their goals they set for themselves.

Step 5

The teacher, during these activities, will show the students through the screen mirroring device, how to use specific technology applications. The students will follow along with the teacher and complete the tasks on their computer or IPad

Timeline

Once the end of the year arrives, the students will be given a worksheet that asks them to list the goals they believe they have achieved.

Step 6

After each student completes their list, the time capsules from the beginning of the year will be given back to the students for them to evaluate which goals they have achieved or have yet to achieve.

Step 7

Assessment Process:

- To measure how the students are grasping the material, I would assess the students in groups of 2 and ask them to show me questions about how to use their computer or IPad. - 5 points will be awarded to navigating a specific learning website. - 5 points will be awarded if the student can correctly open a web browser. - 10 points will be awarded for completing the beginning time capsule. - 10 points will be awarded for completing the end of the year goals worksheet. - 15 points will be awarded if the students can answer the question, “what is your favorite thing you learned in technology this year?” - After each student has been assessed, the teacher will score each student and give them feedback on areas that still need improvement.
