SAINT CHAPELLE
founded on April 26, 1248
SAINT CHAPELLE
It is a Gothic temple located on the Ile de la Cité, in the center of the city of Paris, France. It is considered one of the masterpieces of the radiant period of Gothic architecture. It was built to house the relics acquired by King Saint Louis of France, among which the crown of thorns stands out, for which reason it has been considered a huge reliquary. Thanks to the innovations of the Gothic construction system, it practically lacks walls, instead existing a multitude of windows that filter the light through the polychrome stained glass windows.
Although from the outside it looks like a rather ugly cathedral, the luminous crystals inside give very striking and precious colors to the interior of the cathedral, and a very different atmosphere from the outside of the cathedral. It is 36 meters long, 17 meters wide and 42.5 meters high. Its roof is made of slate and a great 33-meter cedar spire rises up to the sky, undoubtedly one of the Gothic masterpieces.

MOSQUE OF THE DOME OF CÓRDOBA
The Mosque of Córdoba is the most important monument of the city and of all Andalusian architecture, together with the Alhambra. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1984, in 2007 it was included among the twelve Treasures of Spain by popular vote. It is one of the most beautiful and unique buildings in the world and one of the most visited monuments in Spain. The long history of the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba dates back to the year 786, when Abderramán I began construction of a mosque on the site previously occupied by the Basilica of San Vicente (a 6th-century Visigothic basilica). During the following years, the subsequent emirs and caliphs carried out numerous extensions and modifications to the temple until, in 1236, after the Christian reconquest of Córdoba, it was converted into a Catholic cathedral.
