Summary
..
In class students will use Google Maps to research a consentration camp of their choice in order to get a visual picture of the real life camps. After they complete that, students begin the assessment in which they create a presentation comparing either the book and movie or the poem and the audio file.
Students have read "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas," as well as watched the movie for the book in class. They have also read the poem, "Children of Rwanda," and heard the author's audio file reading his poem.

aSSESSMENT PLAN
•Presentation project conducted by individual students that compare/contrast the movie/book or the poem/audio file. By comparing and contrasting either the book or the poem, the students can decide which choice of writing they want to compare and contrast, and they can choose what is most important to discuss in their presentation as long as it is back up with evidence (whether that be theme, mood, tone, symbolism, word choosing, etc. between the book/movie or the poem/audio file).
