Gothic Writers
Using Pathetic Fallacy, imagery and sensory language are all excellent ways to ensure a good piece of Gothic work.
To enhance the tension in your writing, include:-Limited point of view -Setting and imagery -Fear of the unknown -Questions and mystery -Varied sentence lengths -Extended silence -Dramatic irony -Cliffhangers -Dark/depressing description e.g blood red flowers
Play into the evil and insane when creating your antagonist. Include the features of Gothic Literature when describing/referring to your antagonist/
Classic Gothic settings:-Crypts, graveyards etc. -Castles -Churches -Large, old buildings
