We had plans to stay with our cousin at her beach house over winter break. Weeks before our departure, she had sent us tons of photos of the nice weather while I started gathering small things in advance out of excitement.

We had movie nights by the pool, and late-night walks on the beach. We also did lots of swimming, seashell picking at Pawley's Island, and shopping at local shops and flea markets!

By car, the five of us traveled the 15 hours from Roscommon, Michigan through Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina, to Surfside, South Carolina.

When I got back of course I had to post some pictures and share my experience. My trip to South Carolina was one to remember and I hope to visit the warm weather and beautiful beaches again.

The drive back home became more relaxed as we got closer to the cold Michigan weather and responsibilities. I also slept for about half of the ride home.
