Singular: refers to one thing.

Possessive Nouns
A possessive noun shows ownership or possession.
- Can be singular or plural.
singular- the girl's icecream plural- the children's recess
Singular Possessive Nouns
Add an apostrophe (‘) + s to most singular nouns AND to plural nouns that DO NOT end in s.
Examples: kitten’s toy (the toy belongs to one kitten) women’s dresses (dresses of more than one woman)
