Best Practices

  • If the data from the anchor field must remain true and unchanged from any other card view, set it as READ ONLY.
  • Mirror Fields typically come from an originating source of truth - Locations (Portfolios, Buildings, Units, Leases, Vendors) or a Contact Card.
  • Before making edits on a Mirror Field, ensure that you're not overriding a previously synced update from your Property Management System.

Mirror Field Connection

Mirror fields will display data as long as the related location is added to the card. For example, on the Lease Renewal board, I have a Mirror Lease End Date field. In order for it to display, the lease needs to be related to the card.

  • Mirror Fields work best from Location or Contact to a board.
  • To unlink a particular location and link another similar location to the mirror field, click on the mirror field link icon. Then, click on the unlink icon to find a new data source.
