Mercedes Presentation

introduction

Mercedes is a car manufacturer founded in 1904 by Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft in Stuttgart. The name Mercedes is derived from Spanish and means mercy. The coat of arms, placed on the bonnet of the cars, depicts a three-pointed star, the hallmark of Daimler, surrounded by the Benz laurel wreath and the words Mercedes-Benz, also on the outer crown.

is it better porsche or mercedes?

Both of these German luxury car manufacturers offer some of the best luxury car brands on the market. However, these brands are totally different in what they specialise in. If you are looking for luxury and safety, Mercedes-Benz is the best bet. But if you want top engineering and pure driving pleasure, Porsche is the best choice. Let's talk about Porsche.

Big difference in the average price of Porsche, ranging from 60,000 up to 200,000 euros.

Porsche is more reliable than Mercedes.

The technical quality of Porsche is very close to Ferrari in terms of construction technique and engineering quality.

porsche balance sheet

Over the past five years, Porsche has had ups and downs in terms of financial performance. In 2017, the company reported revenues of 23.5 billion euros, with a net profit of 3.3 billion euros. In 2018, revenues increased to EUR 25.8 billion, with an even higher net profit of EUR 3.9 billion. However, in 2019, revenues increased further to EUR 28.5 billion, but net profit decreased to EUR 3.5 billion. In 2020, the company was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with revenues falling to EUR 20.4 billion and a net profit of only EUR 1.2 billion. However, in 2021, Porsche showed a strong recovery, with revenues reaching EUR 28.7 billion and a net profit of EUR 4.2 billion. These positive results show that the company was able to adapt to market circumstances and react to the difficulties it encountered during the pandemic.
